Historic Town Rattenberg

Rattenberg is the smallest town in Austria and has preserved almost entirely its medieval flavour to the present day.

While strolling through the streets and alleys, you will discover lots of charming details to the carefully restored medieval houses. Not to be overlooked are the many glass speciality businesses, through which Rattenberg became known as the “glass town”.

Landmarks such as the Augustinian Museum, the nail forge, the craftsmanship Museum, the parish church or the glass blowing in the house Kisslinger are definitely worth a visit.

From the castle ruins on the Schlossberg hill, enjoy the splendid views of the Inn Valley. In July, the Schlossberg games take place on the romantic outdoor stage here.

The Giant entices visitors all year round with an event and leisure program offering great variety.
